until now I have been using the great Hasselblad 55-110 with adaptor

how is the Leica compared to the Hasselblad?

I have given up 😡

I just will have my 120 upgraded, but my two other lenses will stay as they are ……

I really get mad on the CS-lenses.

I gave my 120 to my dealer for the upgrade, but he didn't send it nowhere as he don't know nothing about the upgrade program (he asked me to joind the packing thought).

Same for my 70 that I finally canceled to upgrade for the same reason.

I've seen allready your thread in the LFI, I'm almost sure that there should be a way to use multple SF58 in TTL – mode (TTL HSS is almost the same just for different purposes/shutter speeds) when you set one as master and the other as slave.

As I just have one SF58 i cannot test it myself but there should be a way to do that.

I can't disagree more about point 2!

It should be possible for EVERY owner of a S-lens to upgrade before the date of first delivery of CS-lenses (something in autumn 2012). Why? Many of us bought standard S-lenses, new or second market, with the strong will (and no other option anyway) to upgrade later to CS-lenses.

sorry to say that, but in my opinion this is the worst of both worlds (exept you have still some R-glas and didn't find another way to use them).

If I see some (limited) use using longer R-lenses on the M, I really doubt if this makes a sense for wide angle and zooms (again, the longer zooms may be an option).

The M is all about being compact.

I think Leica is forced to develop something different because of the other specifications of the M-camera system, especially for the wide angle lenses which are more common and difficult to handle in this system as for dslr.

I actually have the Leica S / HC Adapter with the Hasselblad 100/2.2 and I like the focal length as well as the rendering …… at 5,6. Wider open this lens is a bit to soft for my taste, especially at the borders.

yes, I have it, and it works for portraits but I think its a bit to contrasty. I will try the Elpro for the 180, but the longer lenses have some drawbacks as well, especially in natural light

its great! i use 2 habla lenses and it works well!

I will get mine tomorrow. I will not cancel my order for the new M, as from the specifications it should be better than the M (without the color option, of course)

when the MM fullfills what I hope, then it will be a second body for traveling and for nude art photos.

Personally, I'd just get a S-35mm which is a faster maximum aperture, is optimized for use on the S2, and is auto-focus.

So, if I understand you right, the HC 100/2.2 is a nice lens on the S2? 🙂

I just wanted to add that Leica added specific Lens-Profiles for the Hasselblad-Lenses in their download area. This makes sense, as the sensore-size is different from the Hasselblads and so must the correction be different as well.

I have another question:

I bought a Hasselblad 150 for testing this adapter. It works well, but in the EXIFS the lens is shown as a 150N, with has another lensdesign.

I tried to find some informations on the net about the differences of the 150 vs. 150N, but there is not much to read ot to see about it. Can anyone give some…[Read more]
