Thanks, but isn't it measured from the first lens surface in light direction? At least that's what they say for the M Lenses …

Thanks for your post. Good to know. Leica CH says the new grip won't work on the S2, but can't (or won't) explain why. Fact is the new one is 730 CHF and the old one 1250 CHF. I will bring my S2 to the shop and will try here in Zurich. Nothing else to do. But thanks for your offer 🙂

I used a rented S2 on a friends wedding recently. Absolutely amazing for outdoor shots (Bride to church, Exiting church , congratulation hugs and portraits) with the 120 and outdoor group pictures with the 35 and tripod. I happen to have both and have tried. Doesn't seem to be working: can't get the flashes to fire. Neither in manual nor in TTL mode. Anything I'm missing?
