I believe the PC-Shift was designed for the 40mm lens which becomes around 56mm after the 1.4 factor. I have the PC adapter and 40mm lens so I will give it a try and compare with the Mamiya 50mm shift lens.

I haven't enough operating experience to comment on battery life. I wonder if Eye-Fi Tech Support can tell use the power requirements.

I recently set up my S2 to work with an ipad-1 using a Connect X2 Eye-fi card and the small battery powered router discussed in the forum. I have used both the Eye-Fi softwarte and Shuttersnitch and I prefer Shuttersnitch. Transfer times are in the 12 to 20 second range. Image quality on ipad permits zoomong to check focus.
fotophil replied to the topic S2 Tilt/Shift with Rollei 80mm in the forum Alternative Lenses 13 years, 3 months ago
I have a Mamiya tilt-shift bellows adapted with a S2-Mamiya adapter but the shortest lens that will focus infinity is around 120 mm – not very useful in the field. There have been several factory tilt-shift bellows setups made for 35mm (Nikon & Minolta and others) but not many for medium format. What bellows unit was used for your setup?

Hi David:
Leica lenses eat everything for lunch at wide open apertures. My Pentax 400mm tests confirm that the performance is disappointing wide open but greatly improves stopped down 2 stops and even better at 3 stops. In long lenses there is no free lunch. What is the going price for the Leica APO 400mm and modification?
Thanks for…[Read more]

Hi David:
What a great 400mm set-up for the S2!!! After the the dust settles, please compare with the Pentax 6×7 400mm ED lens.

I sent your E-mail on to my friend. Thanks for the info- ir sounds like you are wll informed.
The vertical plate on my RRS bracket is only about 1 inch in length and I can clamp along the entire length but the bracket is way off-set from the center of the clamp. It seems stable.

Hi Jeff:
Very sorry to hear of your problem but you are forunate to have started treatment. THe son of a friend of mine waited too late and has really suffeed.
I use the RRS L plate and don't have any problems with the remote release so long as I position the camera at one end of the clamp. A extension spacer would be another solution -…[Read more]
