Amazingly tough battery! Or inaccurate indicator? I do like the treadmill-generator theory though. 🙂

I had not heard of the X-E camera, thanks, good to know they're continuing a fixed-focal lens model.
I like your clean interiors, well-lit, nice tonality. And the sunset of course has a great sky. The bridge photo seems to need something more, and the greens don't look, well, “green” enough! Maybe some magenta in there dulling the color?Best wishes

Good for him! Better he than I… as I have grown more sensible with advancing age I've developed an aversion to heights. I hope he is well paid, VERY well paid!

Welcome to Leica S desire! The 70mm is an obvious place to start, and a versatile choice, relatively economical too. I had the advantage of a large Pentax 67 system so I could use those lenses while I considered what other S lenses I might want to get. I ended up with the 35mm Summarit and later the 100 Summicron. For the infrequent macro/closeup…[Read more]

I like the pond with the invisible alligator! He would have a duck dinner, I guess…
In the shot just above, is that an aircraft carrier moored up there close to shore? I'm surprised the water is deep enough!Doug replied to the topic Recent images with the Q. in the forum Images to Share 8 years, 11 months ago
Thanks, Dale, for the series, giving a sense of your community. Seems calm and relaxed, comfortable.
Does the Q suit your style? I like to stay with one lens for extended times, sometimes a 28. 🙂
Doug replied to the topic Question to the "S" experts: are there any adapters M42 to S Bayonet? in the forum Alternative Lenses 9 years, 1 month ago
If one exists, it could not allow infinity focus, as the flange-to-sensor distance for the S is much greater than for the small Pentax. Macro focus only, and of course the image circle coverage is doubtful as well, but more likely at macro focusing distances anyway. 🙂

Tell me about your “Metabones Adapter for Pentax 645 analog lenses”… I don't see this product on the Metabones website. Does it feature any aperture control mechanism? Price?
Thanks… DougDoug replied to the topic D-Lux typ 109 – Church Interior and Altar. in the forum Leica D-Lux 9 years, 11 months ago
This is really very nice I think, and the bit of off-center non/semi-symmetry gives the composition a little something extra. I like the light and colors too.

I am missing the little forum controls that lead to the most recent post in a thread. I'll have to explore other areas, as my main involvement is the forums. I also note that in my Pentax thread in Alternative S lenses, some posted photos have unusable huge scaling.

Thanks, Scott, really nice series. There is just something about manikins that fascinates, and may say something about the rest of us!

Ha! Well well, is this prophetic? I had to check LR5.5 myself and indeed it's listed. This may get interesting.
I've been using a 100mm f/4 Pentax and like this angle of view. But I expect an f/2 lens would be just a bit larger…

Interesting… I'm surprised at how thick the cover is. And wondering about doing some personalized cutting to allow access to the battery and card.
