As well as those who continue to do so….
With regard to the corrected version…it looks better to my eye but the top of the flag has now been cut off. Should be a fairly simple correction in Photoshop and one that's worth doing (IMHO).

David K, did you trade in the Mini and if so what is the new toy?
I did Mark. David and Josh told me that the Mini might be appropriate for transporting my M9 kit but not for the S2. When I asked them what I needed to get they both pointed at their respective BMW's and said… “Duh…”
So I succumbed to peer pressure and got myself the new 335d. If you haven't driven in one of these all I can say is… “This ain't your Daddy's Oldsmobile…” It's a beast…but apparently it's still not as fast as Josh's 🙁

Great story Al… and I applaud your improvisation. It was a pleasure meeting you the other day at Dale with Roger, David and Josh. I got distracted taking the Leica rep for a ride in my new car and never did get a chance to say goodbye. And yes… Roger will get you up at ungodly hours of the morning.
You really should try to get that early morning light on the pastels of the lifeguard station before you leave SoBe. It's magical light and absolutely perfect for Leica lenses to capture. I'll try to dig a few up and post them…
Meanwhile, enjoy the workshop and your stay in Florida.

Currently, I am way more into lighting, since that seems to make a much larger difference in the work than incrementally adding more of this or that to some digital box, especially a box like the S2 which is a light vampire just like most other MFD cameras. … not to mention that lighting is very challenging creatively.-Marc
I've come to the same conclusion regarding the impact of good lighting (which includes the proper selection of modifiers, gels, etc.). I'm fortunate to have a friend who's top notch in this regard and has helped me along the way. It's not an easy thing to learn on your own. And lighting can get pretty expensive pretty quickly…

There's no other MF back on the market that I would rather have. But I wouldn't mind having one of these too 🙂 If there's anything out there that can render MF obsolete it will likely come from this company. Obviously an apples to oranges comparison…but wow on the image quality.

Beautiful images…look forward to seeing more in the future.

Nicely done. You are a fortunate man to have such a lovely and patient model as a wife. Good luck with learning your lighting. If you have a second light you might consider using one for the hair.

Here's one from the lingerie set Mark. There was one other set with the car where I wound up with excessive flare due to placement of the background light (my bad). Josh has suggested some post processing tips which I will try and if it works I'll post one or two of those. Thanks for the kind words. BTW, Courtney has been contacted by America's Next Top Model based on the portfolio I've done for her. She is thrilled and I am excited for her.

Thanks
The model shots were taken with the 70mm. If I could only have either the 70mm or the 120mm I would take the 70mm as I find it more versatile for what I shoot. Until I got the S2 I rarely used the “normal” lens. Now it's my most used lens of the lineup.

Jack…I like the way this looks when broken up into quarters. And I will confess that I didn't know the word “quadriptych” existed.
