Well done Jack. Love the muted winter tonality. And the tree in the left panel works well as a standalone image too.

This is simply beautiful… well done!!

Mark, I share your love of Clyde Butcher's work. And his printing technique is the best that I've had the opportunity to see first hand. Web images don't begin to come close to what they look like in real life.
I like your image a lot and suspect that it looks even better when printed large. When you come back to Florida I would love to join you for another trip to the Everglades. I think Roger would like to go too. Maybe rent an air boat and get to some otherwise inaccessible places.

This was with the new f/0.95 noct…
Coincidentally I was down at Dale this afternoon and saw a brand new one being shipped out to some lucky guy. These are tough to come by…

Little birdy told me I might have mine one day soon… 😀

My first reaction was go with the punchier version…but after looking at them for a while I'm going with the B&W. On the one hand it's tough to throw away those beautiful fall colors…but on the other hand I think the image is strong enough to go B&W. Having said that, you can't go wrong with any of them. Perhaps a triptych 🙂

I can only imagine the effort you made to obtain these shots…but I can assure you they are worth it. To my eye these are nothing short of spectacular…as were the images I've seen posted by you elsewhere. I would love to hear what inspired you to visit Ethiopia and how you managed to cultivate a rapport with your subjects.

Andy,
What a string of bad luck…my sympathies, as I can only imagine how frustrated you have been. I had the cracked sensor and replacement of the top OLED. Also had one lens arrive DOA. Leica repaired everything promptly and without charge…not even for shipping. I found Leica service to be excellent, albeit a bit slower than I would have wished but there is a fair amount of shipping involved. My understanding is that S2 issues receive priority attention. I know they did in my case and David, as my dealer, was diligent in following up on my behalf. Hope all is resolved to your complete satisfaction. Meantime I'd suggest looking both ways before crossing the street 🙂

It's a beautiful shot Pete…well done, and the colors are fabulous. Also like the way the clouds over the mountains add some balance to the image. If it were mine I'd probably clone out the black wire… but I realize that's a matter of individual taste and philosophy.

Nice shot Josh… I like it a lot. Come to the Ferrari show at the Breakers in Palm Beach this weekend. I think Roger and I may be there on Saturday afternoon.

I am marking my calendar 🙂

I think a bunch of us are in the same boat. Really do not understand why something as simple as this should be taking as long as it has…

Very nice images Kurt…am I wrong in thinking you've changed your B&W conversion a bit? Either way, I like them. I've been remiss in not wishing you the very best of luck in your new endeavor and location. Hope this is a happy and productive new year for you.

Looks like you have started on an interesting and challenging project and i wish you the best of luck with it. Of the three shots you posted…I like the first two better than the last. The gilt ceiling shots on your link that you did not post are more pleasing to my eye. I think that's because the ceiling is inherently symmetrical where the other posted shots are not… and I have a personal preference for symmetry. Other viewers may well have a preference for the asymmetrical way in which you have chosen to show the ceiling. On the other hand, I love the shots of the oblong landings which you treated the same way. Probably not much help but I thought I would give you some feedback anyway 🙂
