Great capture Gary. I've got the same combo and like it quite a lot. Nice focal length too…right between the 35mm and 70mm.

Great photo Jack…it really draws the viewer in. I find myself studying the elements of the sculpture…they are kind of fascinating. And I think it lends itself to all kinds of post processing.

I like the color shot best Jack. Since moving to Florida I miss the change of seasons each of which has it's own beauty.
As far as a triple triptych…try saying that three times fast.

One of my favorite lenses of all time…and it plays nicely with the S2. Problem is that the darn Leica lenses are just so good I don't find myself using it much.
+1 to what Jack said…

Wow…that's impressive for a zoom.

Here's another with the 120mm also at f/6.8. Don't think you can go wrong with either lens…or either girl 🙂

I do a fair amount of beauty/glamour shooting and find myself using the 70mm and 120mm lens frequently. This past week I decided to remind myself what the 180mm was capable of…I liked the results and will try to incorporate it into future shoots more frequently. Studio lighting, base ISO, and the 180mm at f/6.8

Kind of like food stamps for rich people… 🙂

Thanks for posting this Roger. Just to clarify the issue of price.
The current difference in price between the 70mm CS and non-CS is $1k ($5995 vs $4995). But when the non-CS first came out it was priced at $4495. My understanding from speaking with Josh is that the price paid for the lens is the one that is used. In my case that means I will be paying $1500 to trade up. Can't recall when the price increase was implemented…but if it was before the cut off date then some customers may be able to do this for $1k. I'd prefer it otherwise…but on reflection it seems fair that anyone trading up for this lens will wind up paying the same amount for it.

Whatever position Leica takes with regard to the upgrade…it needs to happen sooner rather than later. I see no reason for delaying a clear and concise announcement regarding this issue.

Good work Mark…glad you had an opportunity to do this kind of shooting with some top notch models. You need to plan a trip to Florida when Roger is here and the three of us can go down to Andre's studio and shoot some models. Maybe even with CS lenses 🙂

Nicely done David…good to see you are still using the ND filters. I am too…

I'll second Jack's recommendation about dealing with David and Josh. Aside from good customer service they have an extremely close relationship with Leica…which never hurts in those iffy situations about whether it's a warranty or non-warranty repair. Been dealing with them for years and they have come thru for me on more than one occasion.
