Page 48 of the manual, small footnote.
“The focal length values shown refer to the 35 mm format”
Not the most user friendly manual I have ever seen, but better than the Nikon SB900

Is there a list of serial numbers that qualify for the replacement?
Mine is a 2010 model with serial number 3800XXX that is now almost impossible to read in daylight (not sunlight, rather daylight!)

Well I must admit I can't repeat the phenomenon.
All OK with me with all lenses tonight.

I saw this same thing last weekend
It is something really stupid about switching on the camera or the SF58 first … can't remember which but it is in one of the manuals (in a none obvious place)
