I am considering the new S for its video allowing the flexibility of a single uni for photos and video. However I read about the M's video limitaitons and will wait and look forward to evaluating the S's capabilities. Do you use a thumb rule for the hyperfocal distance at different apertures? It is on the M lenses but absent from the S lenses.
