Hi Marc
I am totally with you on what you've just said regarding shooting the S2 Tethered . Something has to change and I wished it would be sooner rather then later .

Thanks for all your replies . I understand there are other options out there to overcome the slow Tethering process of Lr , but the point is to simplify the task . Shoot and get it on the computer screen to review and if necessary to adjust the settings and show a close to near resemblance of the final image. That's the way it should work , a hand in had shooting and developing of RAW files experience. As it is now its just not good enough! Imagine a print out for the art director at the same time …. You'll get nuts during all that process and waiting . No, I don't think it's ready just yet . As much as I love the Leica S2 for shooting , it's just not right for a full blown tethered session. A still photographer might find it acceptable , but believe you me on a shoot with 10 people behind you watching and commenting … You need a lot of nerves .

Thanks for the comments! I am not that brave at all, but I'd like to know what kind of options I've got . I don't need the case for scuba diving , and I wouln't want to take it deeper then 20 feed anyway …. it's more to use half/half in pools to capture some under water movements .

Sorry to jump into this thread with another question , because I am also deciding wether to get the 120 or 180 but can't make up my mind in regards of which one would be wise to get the CS versions or not . My guts tell me to get the CS versions, but then again it's another waiting time and also I don't think Leica is holding on to their original promise to let the customer upgrade to CS once they are available , or am I wrong with this statement ?

I ordered mine and still waiting ! This waiting game is rather irritating …. went to see my dealer the other day and met the Leica Rep Uk … talking about how thinks are going and how I like it … and why I don't shoot more stuff with my S2 ? My reply was, I'd love to but since I don't even have a complete system (lenses unavailable ) how can I ? Instead I am using my trusted Hasselblad H4d50 with all the lenses … Leica = patients and having a good back up in place to do what a photographer needs to do.

Yes I am using the rear AV button to focus the S2 too …and love it . The M9 is a camera one simply can't live without …..

I use the S2 and my H4d50 … both are used regularly … I shoot a lot tethered so the Hassi is the one I use most and for more freehand stuff I take the S2 for a spin …

Thanks for for the replies. I stitched 3 images in photoshop to get this large and the details are truly fantastic . Its a shame you can't see it, but just below the red middle volcano there is a group of tourists wandering about with hats on. There is no season as such and the scenery is as rough all year long .
