Very nice Pete, thanks for sharing. B&W works very well here.

The Hasselblad H lenses get along with the S2's sensor quite nicely.
The HC50/3.5-II, 100/2.2, and 150/3.2N are a particularly nice set of lenses to use with the Leica … dual shutter capable, good handling size for the S2, and all use the same 77mm filter size.

Hi Marc,
Great to see your take with the 100. I am wondering if you can share your processing with the H-lenses. I am not quite getting the colors/look with mine so need to learn from you. Thank you in advance! - September 24, 2012 at 10:11 pm #3023
I am using with the 30-90 and the 100/2.2 with mixed results. Works well on the 30-90 but there are some misses on the 100 where I have to manually override.

Arif, if you can share any images taken with the zoom it would be appreciated. If I go down this road that one is on my short list.
Hi David, A simple portrait with no retouching other than simple ACR but not sure if it really shows all what the lens can offer. Portrait with the 100.
One with the zoom.

OMG!
Worked like a charm.First impressions:
Wonderful color right out of the camera.
HCD28/4 is considerably wider than my S35, and sharp as hell. The Leica provided lens profiles in LR work perfectly.
HC100/2.2 is amazing … folks, we have our 75 Lux for the S : -) IMO, the lens profile applies a touch to much vignetting control, but that'll remain to be seen. Shot some bright outdoor stuff f/2.2 @ 1/4000th shutter … a first for that lens for me!
HC210/4 was also excellent … I was astounded how fast it Auto focused. I mean fast!
Will try the HC120/4 macro at 1:1 as soon as I get a minute free.
Also have the newer HC 50-II and 150N to try out.
So far it seems Leica did a really good job on this.
Big test will be shooting with strobes and high sync speeds.
Gotta run, but will be back as soon as possible … gotta do the work to pay for this stuff : -)

Hi Marc,
I totally agree that this is a great addition. I have used it over the past few weeks on the 35-90 and the 100/2.2 and like the results very much. Colors have been good and now I can wait a little longer for some of the promised S lenses (would be curious to see the Leica 30-90 zoom).

Jack MacD;2819 wrote: Sure, Leica is listening to us, but their bigger market is Asia, and I don't see many users from Asia on this site other than Kurt. Perhaps over there, it seems, buyers purchase the S2 as a luxury good, more than just a very fine tool?
Most people I run into in Tokyo who use Leica are older people and they like the autofocus but do not like the weight of the camera (Asian physique is a little different). I see more people also dropping out of Nikon and Canon and going to the lighter Sony and Micro 4/3 cameras. I spent the whole day covering a parade and running around with a few lenses in 100 plus heat does get to you after a while.

Hi Kurt,
Great pictures and it is wonderful to see your interaction with the locals. I have always found that people who have nothing have the biggest hearts and the biggest smiles and being around them can lead to beautiful memories. I also love the fact that some of these places and the warm hospitality of the locals allows one to really enjoy photography. Please let me know if you are ever in my part of the woods. Thanks for posting these and I have also enjoyed your blogs.

Hi Stuart,
Thank you very much for the detailed reply and for the link to the video which was very helpful, informational and very current. Seems like this is not a unique issue to the S2 and is possible on all electronic cameras/scanners. I will contact my dealer when I return to Tokyo and work out how to best handle this situation (firmware or sending the camera in). Will keep this group posted on the outcome.
Thank you again for replying,

Ed, Andy, Geoff, and Mark,
Thank you very much for the replies. Looking through more files, it seems to be in the same spot, is on the DNG, and is only on some files so seems like a sensor/electronics issue and not a cracked sensor issue. I recently had the electronics replaced due to minor issues (stuck menus) but that is not what caused it since I could also track a few older pictures with the same issue so I am thinking it must be related to the sensor as Mark stated. I am currently traveling so will get back to my dealer in a few weeks and am keeping my fingers crossed that a firmware will be able to do it.
Mark, if you ever find the name/instructions for what to do/who to send to, then please send me a pm.
Thank you all for taking the time to help me.

Sorry, I should have highlighted the line in the 100% crops which are reattached. Please find them between the red boxes in these pictures (you may have to double click them twice to see at 100% resolution).
Apologies for the inconvenience,

Kurt, lovely image and lovely colors. I love the 120mm, probably that and the 35 are 99% for me.

I've been an avid M shooter for years, but always had an affinity for SLR shooting as well. The R9/DMR was great and I was a huge advocate and enthusiastic user of the system. But, at the time, I used the DMR and the M8 pretty much 50/50. Now, with the S2, I might only use the M 10% of the time.
I speak to a lot of S2 owners that feel exactly the same way. The S2 is just a pleasure to use and produces extraordinary results. It's hard to top that.
David, let me know if you ever want to sell your 35 anthracite 😉 I have just the camera to match it.
