Did Leica charge anyone for these repairs, out of warranty?

Hi guys,
New here. I just had the same thing happen to me with a BRAND NEW 70mm lens. This is a pretty big red flag for me and not a good start to owning a new system.
I love Leica, I just wish they'd get things right… Hopefully my replacement lens never has this problem.
