The battery still has a quarter left shown on the OLED top panel, but as soon as I take a photo the S2 automatically sleeps (if I click the 4 menu buttons nothing will happen). I have to half push the shutter button to wake up the camera (when the initialization sound can be heard), and can take one single shot before it kind of shuts itself again. Powering off the camera and then power it back on does not help.
It happened several times, usually when battery is lower than half bar (but def not out of juices). I have a quick fix – just change with a full new battery and everything is ok again. I’m not sure if this is normal with either the S2 or the battery or maybe how these two are communicating?
Thank you for your inputs!

That is a problem I have seen before, where the battery shows that it has some charge remaining but the camera refuses to stay on. At first I thought it was a camera issue but after trying a new battery, I realized it was a defective battery. Send it my way and I will replace it!

anyone had this problem.. both my S2s with grips show this…
email sent awaiting reply as follows..I have noticed that with the grip attached the top cover LED is now defaulting to ‘medium’ even after setting this to ‘high’ which is most annoying in bright daylight.
the only way for me is to set it to ‘high’ when first switching on and just letting the S2 go to standby….if I switch it off then it defaults to ‘medium’ again.
can you help please ?? is there a solution via Wi-Fi firmware ??? I am using the latest 1020 firmware and have reinstalled it twice now with no resolution
