I’m entering rehab next week, and I want to make sure I bring everything I need. I’ve heard some places have strict rules about what’s allowed. Does anyone have experience with this? What should I definitely bring, and what should I leave at home? I don’t want to be caught off guard when I arrive.

Each rehab center has its own policies, so it’s always best to ask them directly. But some general guidelines can definitely help!

The most important things to bring are comfortable clothes, approved toiletries, and personal hygiene items. Most facilities prohibit items like alcohol-based products, electronics, and certain medications. A great tip is to bring a notebook or journal to track your progress and emotions. If you’re unsure about what’s allowed, many rehab centers provide lists of recommended items.
