Leica M, Leica S, Leica CLOfflineWe post a lot of landscapes here, but the S is so great for portraits.
While i was shooting the abandoned Pabst brewery, as shown in the previous post, I discovered some great window light for a portrait. My fellow shooter was willing to be my model. He liked the shot of himself enough to post it on his own TOP website blog.I actually cropped this portrait down from the full frame, as can be seen the the Lightroom screen shot. One more plus of having plenty of resolution in the S
This was with the 120mm. 1/15 sec at F8. I was shooting landscapes that don’t move, but should have switched to say 1/125 at f2.5 and I would have had DOF I would have liked more, and reduced the chance for subject movement. Hey, I could have moved the camera on the tripod closer and I wouldn’t have had to crop, but this was just a quick interruption in landscape/architectural shooting. And the subject liked the result, so it worked.
