Leica QOfflineI don’t often post a product image, but here’s one I did today that I’m slightly proud of (shot as JPEG only). I don’t get much DOF with the small camera at f1.7, so to get the relevant parts in focus requires lining things up ahead of time, more-or-less equidistant. It’s hard for me to get a good background since I like to stay in the context of where the item is used, so I have a MacBook Pro under the headphone and I cloned out some distractions at the top. This was taken in natural light coming in a window, and I shot a couple of bursts to ensure a sharp image (about half of the images were as sharp as this one). Black items (with blue trim in this case) are always a problem in this type of lighting no matter what I set for white balance, as black comes out blue every time (or worse). Noise isn’t a problem with this camera in areas of the image that have good exposure, but darker areas can be a fright.
