Myrciaria jaboticaba is a small semi tropical fruit tree native to Brazil and some of the surrounding countries. It has a very interesting habit of producing its wonderfully fragrant flowers on its trunk and primary / secondary branches. The resultant fruit, which resembles a cherry in appearance. has thick skin and a spicy flavor.
