I went to Prague 5 weeks ago for a long weekend and my flight was at 6pm. We received a text at 2pm just as we were about to leave for airport that it had been delayed until 7pm.
At first I thought ok fair enough hour delay can live with that but it wasn’t until I checked again as we were walking out the door it was 7pm the next day!
Most of what we planned do in Prague was already booked and we were meeting friends out there so had to fly out that evening so had to buy new outgoing flights from a different airport which cost the two of us an extra £160 each.
It was our first time flying with WizzAir and to be honest may be the last. We got a refund for our original outgoing flight but the day we landed back in London I put in a claim explaining how we had to spend another £320 between the two of us to fly out from a different airport due to their last minute delay.
It says on their website they reply within 30 days but it has been 37 days now and not heard anything. I last spoke to someone on their live chat on Saturday and they said I would have a reply this week.
This is the first time I have experienced a delay of more than 24 hours so not sure if I am entitled to any compensation or if I am wasting my time expecting anything?
Anyone experienced this before or know if I would be entitled to anything at all?

Flight delays can be a real hassle, especially when they’re extended. It’s good that you’ve filed a claim; airlines usually have specific policies for compensation. It might take a bit longer for them to process your request, but stay patient. In the past, I’ve had some delays sorted out with compensation. How I understand you, I often fly and sometimes flights are delayed and every time I find myself in the problem that the car that I have already booked just wasted near the airport, and I do not have time to find a new one.

I used to have the same problem, but over time I found a solution to the problem with a transfer. If you also want to solve this problem then just visit this link. This agency is very much concerned about the comfort of their clients. So you don’t have to worry about your car just standing around the airport, because you can easily cancel your reservation or just reschedule your pickup time.
