The indefinite leave to remain UK is a document issued by the Home Office (UK) that allows a person in the United Kingdom to permanently stay in the country. To get an ILR, you must currently hold either permanent residence or temporary residence status and meet other eligibility requirements. A person with ILR can live, work and study in any part of the U.K., irrespective of their nationality.
Long Residence ILR
The long residence ILR is a way to get permanent residency without investing any funds in the UK economy. To qualify for this, you must be able to show that you have lived in the UK for at least five continuous and lawful years.
