Leica QOfflineThese 2 tech images are an interesting look at DOF with the Noctilux lens, i.e. how DOF creates very different impressions under identical shooting conditions with just a perspective shift in the subject. These were taken at f4.0 and 1/125 handheld, ISO 800, from the minimum focus distance (~3.3 ft). The first image was focused on the brand logo, and the second was focused on the far side of the right earpad. To me, the first image was an aesthetic success and the second a failure. But the second image would have been successful with a greater DOF.
