Just tried a CS lens for the first time on my S2. Is it possible to see from metadata whether I have used the CS or the normal shutter?

– ErlingMI just tried shooting the 70 CS both ways on an S (Type 006) with latest firmware. I looked at the files with Opanda iEXIF viewer and in PS CS 6. There is no field for shutter type used. So, no, it’s not possible.

Thank you for testing and confirming. I raised this with a Leica S representative in Europe, he found the question interesting, and should look into it.
