I’m about to purchase a used M11 from the UK. Instead of a red dot with Leica inside, it’s a black dot with Leica inside. I can’t find this option anywhere on line. Is this original in some odd version (it’s a straight-up M11 apparently);or a sticker? Or some lame, undisclosed marker job?
The black dot instead of the red dot is definitely unusual for the M11. It could be a variation or even an aftermarket modification, but it’s hard to tell without seeing it.
