I recently found out about what must be one of the rarest Leicas ever, a Leica M2-250. It is a standard M2, however converted to accept long roll film for 250 exposures. The conversion incorporates the Camcraft N-5 motor, the rights to which were later obtained by Leitz and the motor was sold as the so called NY Motor. Right you are. But at the time this was the best available. Too bad that Leitz didn’t take Norm Goldberg up on his design as they did with the N-5 motor.
