    I recently found out about what must be one of the rarest Leicas ever, a Leica M2-250. It is a standard M2, however converted to accept long roll film for 250 exposures. The conversion incorporates the Camcraft N-5 motor, the rights to which were later obtained by Leitz and the motor was sold as the so called NY Motor.     That is very cool! Thank you for sharing. Of course now I can put a 32gb SD card in the M9 and get 1500 shots…

    Right you are. But at the time this was the best available. Too bad that Leitz didn’t take Norm Goldberg up on his design as they did with the N-5 motor.
