The flame azaleas are just beginning to bloom. This coming weekend will likely be peak. The first photo is of one of the only bushes already in full bloom. I am including this image to give an idea an individual bush. They are really beautiful when several bushes are in bunched together and in full bloom.

Detail of flame azalea blooms. The orange intensity varies from bush to bush.

The only thing better than a bunch of flame azaleas in bloom are rhododendrons in bloom along with the flame azaleas. The time is close. These Rhodies should be in full bloom in a few days.

Finally, a pano of Cades Cove. It wasn’t the best conditions, but at least there were some clouds.

    Mark,
Beautiful stomping grounds! The second shot looks great, love the color and framing.

Thank you Al. the orange color out of camera was over saturated kinda like bright reds do sometimes. I had to reduce the orange saturation by about -14 and yellow saturation by about -3 to get the color correct. It looks a little flat in sRGB color space for the web, but it is close.
