It’s not quite Spring and yet Summer is already here in East Tennessee. The weather has been unseasonably warm and the high yesterday was 85 degrees. Spring came early with flower bursting open 2 -4 weeks earlier than normal. Yesterday I went on about a 4 mile hike to an old swimming hole on a mountain stream I used to frequent a long time ago. Much to my surprise, this once hidden gem was now well known by many as there were quite a few people there. I was even more shocked when a couple young ladies decided to go for a swim. They had bikini swimsuits on underneath their clothes so they came with the intention of swimming. I have enjoyed this cool mountain stream swimming hole on many of a summer day, but never ever thought I would see anyone swim there in mid-March.

I carried my camera along in hopes of photographing some wild flowers. I never dreamed I would be taking people photos. In case anyone cares, I did ask Mom for permission before photographing under age girls in bikinis. Also, the photo below is a snapshot and not meant to be artistic in anyway. It is simply a capture of a wonderful day in the mountains. By the way, the girls are clutched upon rocks at the base of a 12 – 15 foot waterfall. The girl on the right climbed to the top and jumped off. She seemed to have an adventurous nature.
