Hello Guys I am starting a underwater series and wondered if anybody would know of a company or individual who builds underwater cases, which can house a Leica S2 . Any help on this would be appreciated .

Here is a link to a custom builder in Hawaii. He has built some pretty impressive cases for the surf photographers in Hawaii. In fact most of the water footage that you have seen on the big screen have used his cases.

At the About page it says: “depths less than 20 feet”. Not usefull when you need it for diving.

Good catch Pete, 20 feet is not enough for scuba considerations. I see these cases used by most all of the surf photographers shooting while swimming in the waves.

You are a brave man to consider taking your S2 scuba diving. If I were still shooting underwater images I think I’d rather buy a dedicated DSLR and appropriate housing. I still have my Light and Motion housing with an early Olympus digital camera, lights, etc. Found it quite challenging to get good underwater images. But please keep us posted on your progress…

Thanks for the comments! I am not that brave at all, but I’d like to know what kind of options I’ve got . I don’t need the case for scuba diving , and I wouln’t want to take it deeper then 20 feed anyway …. it’s more to use half/half in pools to capture some under water movements .
